Promoting healthy recreation and community building for Ypsilanti youth
Our Health & Wellness pillar focuses on creating safe, engaging spaces where young people can be active, build relationships, and connect with community resources. Through signature programs like our 3-on-3 basketball tournaments and Youth Day events, we promote physical health, mental well-being, and community bonds.
These events are more than just recreation—they're opportunities to de-silo collaboration between organizations, provide safe and healthy spaces for youth, and promote community, kindness, and respect.
Our signature program offering free basketball tournaments for youth. These events provide healthy competition, trophies for winners, and opportunities to learn about community resources in a fun, supportive environment.
Regular events creating safe spaces for young people to play, connect, and have fun. With 17 events and over 1,000 participants, Youth Day has become a cornerstone of youth engagement in Ypsilanti.
At every event, we connect young people and families with community resources, breaking down barriers and ensuring everyone knows what support is available.
Creating environments where youth can be themselves, make friends, and engage in positive activities without judgment or barriers.
